James Ham

James was born and raised in Westchester County, NY and first picked up a racquet at 7 yrs old. He grew up playing at several local tennis clubs and academies where he trained for USTA tournaments. He would go on to play all 4 years on the Rye High School Varsity Team. Upon completion of High School, James would go on to play NCAA Division III Tennis at Purchase College where his major accomplishments included going undefeated in regular season play as a freshman, earning rookie of the year while making it to the Conference Finals. In addition, he was selected as a member of the All-Conference Team as a Sophomore and played between 1st and 2nd singles and 1st doubles Junior Year. James has been teaching tennis for 9 years and most notably taught at Sportime Westchester (Harbor Island and Lake Isle JMTA). He most recently taught at Armonk Tennis and spent last summer directing the ESF Tennis Camp in Greenwich, CT. James is a USPTA certified Tennis Professional and has a great passion and love for the sport which he loves to share. Off court, James is a major Knicks and Yankees fan and has a strong interest in aviation.
