General FAQs

Our program uses a three-part system: clinics, private lessons, and match play. Juniors need all three in order to be well rounded. Clinics allow players to learn parts of the game against players their own skill level they would see in a school match or a tournament. Private lessons allow coaches to teach players technique in a one-on-one environment that will help the player learn how to control the ball to be more successful. That technique is then practiced in clinics during drills as well as match play, where they will play others at a variety of skill levels to understand what they do well and what still needs improvement. If only one of these components is being participated in, then some part of the development will be missing for that player.

To cancel a court reservation, please call us directly. Our team will assist you. All cancellations must be requested 24 hours in advance, or you will be charged the full amount as a cancellation fee.

You’ve already paid for your reservation, so even if you’re running late, please plan to still come in and play!

A tennis/pickleball reservation usually includes 2 or 4 players, depending on whether you’re playing singles or doubles. You are welcome to have more people courtside, as long as they are not interfering with play on the other courts.

If you know people you want to play with, you can sign up to be in a group with them. If you don’t already have a group but want to play with others at your skill level, consider one of our clinics/No-Strings drop in.

We have all the equipment you need to play tennis/pickleball and have fun! You can borrow racquets/paddles to use on our courts, and we also have equipment and merchandise available in our pro shop.

We want you to be comfortable while you play on the courts. Guests wear a variety of clothing options, including athletic clothing, on the courts. We do require athletic shoes with non-marking soles, to help us protect the surface of the court.

There are two options to further your development (USTA tournaments VS UTR events). Please speak to our Programmers so they can answer all the lingering questions you have.

We love it when guests have a great time at YTC. While our courts are often reserved back-to-back, you can always check with the YTC staff to see whether your court or another court has availability. If we do, we’d love to see you stay longer!
