Deanna retired in June 2025 after an inspiring 32-year career as an elementary school teacher. She first picked up a racquet at Yonkers Tennis Center in 2010 and quickly fell in love—not only with the game of tennis, but with the welcoming, family-like community at YTC. Her passion for the sport has grown steadily ever since, leading her to serve as a volunteer captain for multiple USTA teams over the past 15 years. In addition to her team leadership, Deanna actively volunteers on several USTA committees and plays a key role in organizing and running league play at YTC. Her dedication to both education and tennis shines through in every aspect of her involvement at the center.
