As a native of Ghana-Accra, Daniel’s love of tennis began when he learned to play at the age of eight.
As a junior, he was selected to represent Ghana on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Jr. Circuit. From there he earned a scholarship to the ITF Center in South Africa. He qualified for Roland Garros, Wimbledon, Australian Open and the World Junior Championships.
A former member of the Ghanaian Davis Cup Senior Team, Daniel has an NTRP ranking of 6.5 and has learned with world-ranked players such as Eric Fromm, Jim Courier, John McEnroe and Tim Mayotte.
Coach Daniel is a high-performance professional trainer with over 20 years of experience, teaching tennis in Ghana, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United States. In 2003, he began his career in New York where he specializes in professional hitting lessons and is known for his enthusiasm and love of coaching.
Daniel believes that “everyone deserves a second chance”. He and his wife Kizzy Mae have six children. In his spare time, he enjoys eating and playing soccer.
