Tennis Professional – Roberto Bianco

Roberto is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. His father, Francesco Bianco is originally for Venice, Italy. He was a former Olympic weight lifter, boxer and ultra marathon runner and his mother, Margaret Bianco is a Ballet teacher. Roberto’s passion for tennis began at the age of 6 years old. Roberto left South Africa at the age of 17 and moved to Venice, Italy to train and compete in the futures circuit. At the age of 21, Roberto was offered a full tennis scholarship to further his tennis career and academic studies where he graduated from Fresno Pacific University, Ca. During his collegiate career, Roberto received an All American, All conference and National player to watch of the year awards and sportsmanship of the year awards. Roberto graduated with a double major in Business Marketing and Management. Roberto also served as the Assistant Men's and Women’s coach at Fresno Pacific University, CA. Upon his graduation Roberto has continued his passion for tennis through his tennis teaching career. Roberto has a strong background in business management, nutrition, fitness, strength, speed training and all round athletic development.

Prior to his arrival at Yonker Tennis Center, Roberto served as the Director of Tennis at Solaris Sport and Racquet Club in Hawthrone, NY, where he successfully grew the overall Adult, Junior and Gym programs and membership. Prior to tenure at Hawthorne, Roberto served as the Junior Director of Tennis and Director of Athletic Training at Solaris Sport and Racquet Club in Stamford CT, where he worked to establish a top tier level of high performance tennis development and off court training program. Roberto also undertook a lead roll as the Assistant Director of Tennis at Chelsea Piers CT and interim Director of Tennis during the grand opening of the multi sport facility.

Off the court Roberto enjoys spending as much time outside as possible. Spending time with family and friends, enjoying all types of foods, hanging out at the beach, music, and traveling are just his favorite past time activities. Please join us in welcoming Roberto to the club!
